Fishing Guide
Plan your trip / On the water
A good day
starts upstream.
Build a Madison escape around clear mountain water, a fly rod, and a quieter kind of concentration. Choose a reserved private-water experience or plan a public-water outing with care.
Your Madison escape
Choose your water · Private access
Rose River Farm offers private fly fishing by reservation. Book fishing separately from lodging; do not assume an overnight stay includes river access.
Plan your outing · Public water
Explore public fishing opportunities in the Rapidan watershed. Confirm legal access, current species and tackle rules, and applicable licenses before selecting your route.
Stay a little longer
Make a night of it in Madison. Leave time to dry your gear, eat well, and enjoy another slow morning.
Before you cast
Check current water conditions and trout temperatures. Arrange guide services directly and confirm equipment, availability, and meeting location.
